The Salmon DNA Facial is a scientifically backed, next-generation rejuvenation treatment that harnesses the power of polynucleotides (PDRN) — natural DNA molecules derived from salmon that are highly biocompatible with human skin.

These DNA fragments are infused directly into the skin to encourage natural collagen and elastin production, improve circulation, and strengthen the skin barrier — rebuilding structure and radiance from the inside out. Unlike surface-level hydration treatments, Salmon DNA works at a cellular level to support deep, lasting repair.

FAQ:

What is a salmon DNA facial?

It's a regenerative treatment built around PDRN — polydeoxyribonucleotide, a purified DNA fragment derived from salmon. If that sounds strange, here's why it works: salmon DNA is remarkably similar to human DNA, similar enough that our skin recognizes it and responds. PDRN acts as a repair signal, supporting the skin's own regeneration, calming inflammation, and improving hydration and elasticity from the inside of the process rather than the surface.

Why salmon? Is there actually fish DNA on my face?

Yes — highly purified, medical-grade fragments of it, and salmon specifically because its DNA is exceptionally compatible with ours and can be extracted with very high purity. PDRN has decades of use in wound-healing and regenerative medicine before skincare ever borrowed it; this is repurposed medical science, not a novelty ingredient. (It's odorless, and no, your face will not smell like salmon.)

What does PDRN actually do for skin?

PDRN supports tissue repair, encourages healthy cell activity, reduces inflammation, and improves moisture retention and elasticity. In practice, clients use it for: skin that's inflamed or reactive, post-breakout recovery, dullness and dehydration, early laxity, and skin that's been through a lot — sun, stress, over-exfoliation — and needs genuine repair rather than another active layered on top.

How is it applied? Can't I just buy a PDRN serum?

This is the honest part most marketing skips: PDRN molecules are large, and intact skin is designed to keep large molecules out. A PDRN serum sitting on the surface is mostly an expensive moisturizer. That's why delivery is the whole treatment — I create microchannels first via nanoinfusion / via SkinPen, then introduce the PDRN while those channels are open. The same ingredient, delivered where it can actually work.

Is this the same as Rejuran or the "salmon sperm facial" celebrities get?

Same ingredient family, different delivery. Rejuran is an injectable PDRN treatment popular in Korea that isn't FDA-approved for injection in the US. My treatment delivers topical PDRN through microchannels — the version of this treatment that's both legal and appropriate in a US studio setting, performed within an esthetician's scope. If anyone locally is offering to inject it, that's a red flag, not a flex.

Does it hurt? Is there downtime?

No. With nanoinfusion: essentially none — mild pinkness for a few hours, no numbing needed. With SkinPen delivery: expect standard microneedling recovery — a day of redness, a few days of mild tightness, back to normal quickly.

Is it safe for all skin tones and sensitive skin?

Yes — PDRN is anti-inflammatory by nature, which makes it one of the most universally appropriate regenerative ingredients I work with, including for reactive skin and all Fitzpatrick types. Fish allergy is the exception: while purified PDRN contains no fish proteins, if you have a severe fish allergy we'll talk it through first and err on the side of caution.

How many sessions do I need?

Repair is cumulative. A single session gives hydration and calm; the regenerative benefits build over a short series — typically 6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart — then maintenance a few times a year. As always, the honest number for your skin comes from your consultation, not this page.

When will I see results?

Hydration and a calmer, plumper look within days; the repair-driven improvements — texture, resilience, elasticity — build over the following weeks as your skin does the actual regenerating. PDRN starts a process; it doesn't paint over one.
